Top 5 Drugstore Lipstick | elliewoods

For today's post I thought I would let you guys know my favourite Drugstore Lipsticks!
(L'oreal Project Runway, Rimmel Kate Moss, Revlon Colourburst, Australis Color inject, Maybelline Colorsensational)

Rimmel Kate Moss Lasting Finish and Lasting Matte Finish
The best drugstore lipstick, so great in fact that I believe it could be considered a high end lipstick. So I have purchased nearly every colour from this range, if that doesn’t show how good it is then I don’t know what will. There is a shade for everyone in this range, going from the lightest nude to purple. There tends to be a tiny bit of transfer after eating, but the color on the lips does not budge in the slightest

Revlon Colourburst
This is one of my favourtie nude lipsticks. Because it is such an everyday wearable, my lips but better lipstick. The formula is so creamy so it glides on smoothly. Has a good staying power without drying out the lips. Only downside of this lipstick is that they have now discontinued the shade, however if your lucky you should be able to find it on ebay!

Australis Color inject lipstick
With an infused SPF 15 whats not to love about this lipstick in the summer!.
Is a smooth, creamy and light weight formula that is easy to apply, can be sheer however is a buildable coverage.
Leaves the lips feeling moisturized for hours.
I actually sometimes use this instead of a lip moisturizer/butter in the day.

Maybelline Colorsensational
Goes on so smoothly without leaving any residue. Is a creamy formula that is fairly moisturisering with a satin finish. As far as longetivity goes, they can last around 4-5 hours without eating or 1-3 hours if eating. The thing that I love the most about this product has nothing to do with the formula in the si=lightest, it is actually the vanilla smell of the lipstick.

L’oreal project runway lipstick
The texture of this lipstick is nice and creamy but stays in place. This lipstick glides on easily with even coverage after only one application. This also leaves my lips feeling smooth and soft and does not dry them out in the slightest. It does last well on the lips, lasting around 3-4 hours before needing to be touched up. So people believe that this product smells weirdly but I don’t find that in the slightest.

D.I.Y Snood | elliewoods

Now that it is coming into the colder months here in Australia I am already trying to get ahead of it and find/ make some nice cuddly pieces for those winter months.

I have seen a lot of people wearing snoods whether they be thick woollen ones or nice light weight silky snoods for the summer months. However whenever I have gone to buy one I could never find the perfect colour or if I did, I never found one that had the perfect thickness. So I thought to myself "why not give it a go and make my own'.

Not only do you have an excuse to stay at home when you really don't want to move from in front of the television, it also gives you a sense of time well spent.

Now I picked my wool in the colour maroon as I would say that it is one of my closely favourite colours and it practically goes with anything! (especially when wearing a grey tee and a green army jacket/parka)

What you need:
x2 Knitting Needles
x6 balls of wool (depending how long you want it - 8)

and patience!

I started my Snood by casting on 51 stitches, this enabled me to knit two stitches then pearl two stitches. This meant that the last stitch was always different, meaning that you always started with either a pearl or a stitch. Which will give you this lovely pattern.
Now its time to knit to your hearts content. Then once you are happy with the length of your snood. Simply cast off and using any left over wool (I made sure that I had at least a metre of wool left over after casting off) thread a needle and sew the two sides of your snood together. This will now leave you with a circular scarf in which you can fashion however you wish around your neck!
Another Perk of giving this a go, is when your friends where you got your lovely snood and you can reply with "I knitted it myself!".

New GRWM video & Nude Full Coverage Look | elliewoods

Another Sunday, another late night blog post. This is really becoming a habit isn't it.

This is because silly me forgot that I had a 2000 word corporate law assignment due this week coming. Luckily for me I have a girl in one of my other classes that is also corporate law and told me that is was due the 11th of April. To which I respond "no it isn't" of course upon looking at my assignment schedule online I found that yes she was right and I had spent the last 15 minutes saying that the assignment was due the following week. (Oopies)

So as it is late and I have used the majority of my brain power this past week, I shall leave you with my new video that went up on wednesday.
