Pricing in different countries

Hello beauty fanatics,

So this is an extra blog post for the day, as I just want to talk about the difference in pricing from on country to another country.
For quite some time now I have been hearing the hype and getting recommendations to start using high end make up brands such as M.A.C, NARS and MAKEUP FOREVER. Yet I do find this difficult to do as they are not so easily assessable in Australia as they are in the US or UK.

However whilst my parents were in the US my mother picked up this two little beauties for herself, which I admit I may have used more than her now.

Not only is it the lengths that one in Australia must go to, to find these products but the pricing is another factor. The prices here in Australia for this high end make up is drastically inflated compared to what it would be if purchased in the US or UK.

          NARS EYESHADOW

US - $24 which converts to $23.40 Australian dollars
UK - 18 pounds, which converts to $26.60 Australian dollars
Whislt in Australia this will cost you around $40
That is just one of the examples of the ridiculous pricing in Australian cosmetics, luckily however I will be travelling to the US and UK later on this year! This will be my first time to the US and my 3rd time coming back to the UK :D and I can't wait to explore and indulge in some good high end cosmetics, although I love Rimmel, Maybelline and the others, here in Australia they are the exact same price as the high end cosmetics.
Byeee and happy blogging! x

Beauty Haul!! makeup and more

Hello All!

So as you may be able to tell from the title I went on a little shopping spree and purchased a few things that I probably shouldn't have, but oh well! :) Whilst I bought a whole heap of things, some that are also not pictured here, I would just love to talk about the new range of Boe Beauty products I stumbled across whilst shopping!

The majority my makeup purchases was from a new little brand called Boe Beauty where all stock is $2, who could pass up such a bargain! The products I purchased were a pressed finishing powder compact in #1 Transluscent F/ Powder, it is quite a nice pinky colour and comes up quite well on the cheeks.

Along with this I also bought some lipsticks in the colours #4 Goddess, #6 Coral Kiss, #13 Natural Tea Rose and #14 Birthday Suit. This lipsticks are very pigmented and do come out basically the colour that is on the bottom of the packaging. Although these lipsticks are quite cheap, once they have a gloss over them they do last for a lot longer than they would without gloss. The only downside is that without gloss they are very easy to come off in just one wipe.

From Left to Right: #6 Coral Kiss, #4 Goddess, #13 Natural Tea Rose and #14 Birthday Suit.

Lastly from the Boe Beauty Products, I had to buy some lipglosses to go along with my new lipsticks These lipglosses aren't really that pigmented but they do have a nice finish and aren't to sticky like most cheaper lipglosses. I purchased 3 lipglosses in the colours #8 Milk Chocolate, #4 Kissalicious and #5 Ruby in the Sky.

From Top to Bottom:  #8 Milk Chocolate, #4 Kissalicious and #5 Ruby in the Sky.

Im thinking that I may soon do a blog on either my everyday makeup, the rest of the make up I purchased or a kind of room tour blog so you can see how my room all ties in together or even just to give you some ideas on ways to design your room :) ta ta! and see you next time! x

Versace Yellow Diamond. Do you love it?

Hello fellow bloggers and beauty enthusiast! Throughout my life I have never been a big fan of perfumes or fragrances, I would usually just find a nice pleasant perfume which I could wear daily and didn't come with the expensive price tag. However this was until I received a little 5 ml Versace Yellow Diamond perfume from my aunt for Christmas  I was instantly hooked by its fresh, a bit sweet, slightly fruity, watery summery scent, whilst still having that feminine air about it! It has a pleasant scent which makes one feel elegant yet sexy at the same time and is definitely a perfume which can be worn as a everyday perfume while still being able to be used as a evening/ going out perfume.

Not only is the smell amazing but it also comes in a beautifully crafted bottle which is pleasing to the eye and looks lovely on display. The only downside to this product would be its price tag however you can expect nothing less from a high end brand and the fact that you are definitely getting your moneys worth when purchasing this product.

Luckily their are chemists around that do sell this perfume cheaper than most shops, such as in any big shopping complex it will usually be around $100 for a 90 ml bottle of this. Whereas in a chemist warehouse it will usually be around $70 for the 90 ml bottle.

This product is great for those looking to add a bright, fresh perfume to their collection, or those that like those scents similar to this such as Marc Jacobs Daisy, Versace Versense or Chanel Chance Eau Fraiche, may enjoy this scent. Now I haven't tried this scents myself, but they have been suggested by friends to have that same type of sweet feminine smell about them. Pamper yourself

Recently I have felt like my skin has been lacking that something special. So whilst out shopping I laid my eyes upon this little beauty!

This clay mask not only helps cleanse the skin but also comes hand in hand with a sweet honey smell. I find that it is a lot easier to apply that a lot of the many other clay masks, the minute you put the mask on you can feel it get to work on removing the day away. This clay mask is also inexpensive at only $15, it is available in most chemists and department stores, what more could you want!
I will usually put this on after removing my make up before I shower, as it is a deep cleansing mask it also removes any left over make up and even assists in soothing any small unwanted bumps on the face. I have also noticed that whilst I have been using this product the few pimples I had on my face are no longer present and I look more awake even after taking my make up off.

After rinsing off you are left feeling refreshed and luckily enough some of the scent still lingers afterwards. Leaving your skin smooth and refreshed :)

What's your favourite scent/candle?

After many searches for the perfect candle, now im not saying I haven't ones that aren't as lovely as this one. Yet everything about this candle is gorgeous from its packaging to the first whiff.
I actually received this candle as a gift from one of my good friends recently on my 18th birthday and instantly fell in love with it.

Even before it is lit you can smell the sweet vanilla scent. Once lit it brings a refreshing yet not to overbearing scent to the room. This one candle has replaced my 6 old candles which I would have to have lit them all just to get the same results as this one candle brings.

This one little candle is everything that I have been looking for in a candle so far and would love to know if you have any candles which are also a must have.
I highly recommend this product and will definitely be repurchasing in the near future, as I have been lighting it every day so far.

Let the blogging begin!

So after months of wondering and debating whether or not to begin a blog, I have finally gotten my butt into gear and tada !

I was quite surprised that making the blog was quite easy actually. Whilst for now it is quite a basic template, I hope to have it running nice and smoothly soon enough. Which hopefully you will all enjoy (to whoever bothers to read Ahaha) I would also like to use this blog as a means for people to refer products that they love and recommend me to try out :)

So on that note Ta Ta and hope you enjoy my blogging on all stuff beauty/ life related!
