2 New Videos! | elliewoods

Hey guys

So this blog post is kind of a late one. That is of course because Uni has once again gotten in the way with wanting me to complete 3 Assignments and two Test within the span of two weeks (and of course I left it to the last week) and that is why this is going up on a Sunday. So as I haven't that much time until I have to start preparing my notes for a presentation that I have to do tomorrow (AHH!) I thought I would link you to the two videos that I uploaded this week (No matter how busy I am you can count on one thing, my videos going up each week :P)

10 products for $10 | elliewoods

Of course who doesn't like a bargain.
You would be crazy or lying to yourself if you said you didn't.

Of course whilst I was out and about looking round the shops a little while ago, I found the sale section and that is where I picked up these 10 products for only $10 hence the title of this blog post 10 products for $10.
If you are looking for a great bargain I definitely recommend going to places like Target, Kmart or a chemist as they nearly always have a sales section!
So here are some of the goodies that I picked up.

Max Factor Eyeshadow - Onyx & Stormy Blue
This is basically your must have staple black shadow, it can be used for a smoky eye bold/ dramatic or light and soft. I always find that it is the perfect shadow for night wear, whether you are going clubbing or have a party to attend, this is definitely my go to shadow.
(Stormy Blue & Onyx)
Also whilst looking through the sales items I picked up this beauty. Now I had never tried this colour before and usually steer way clear of any blues/any bold or bright colours (I'm more of a neutrals girl) However this is just a nice deep blue which is perfect for a nice smokey eye. I would say that it comes out a more greyish colour than a blue and I am immensely glad that I was feeling experimental that day and picked it up!

Essence Eyeshadow - Khaki
Now I absolutely love Essence eyeshadows, so of course I also loved this one. This shade is just a nice neutral green with a hint of shimmer and I think that this may be infact be one of my favourites deep greens in my collections!

Australis Lip Liners x 3 - Hot To Trot, My Fair Lady, Nudie Rudie
Now I am obsessed with  Australis lipliners, so of course when I can get them for a dollar I am stoked. I picked up these three colours as they were the only ones that I didn't already have in my collection, I find that the colour pay off wonderful for a drugstore lip pencil and I would also say that they could be bordering on high-end they are that good!

Covergirl lip liner - Sophisticated
Now to start off I am not a huge fan of cover girl, I find that their foundation has a funny pungent smell to it and it tended to make me break out. However I do quite enjoy their jumbo lip pencils so I picked this up for a $1 and I must say that I absolutely love it, it is actually so pigmented and creamy that I would say that it could even be used on its own without a lipstick over the top (however I always tend to wear a lipstick over any lipstick with no exception)

Australis Stay Put Lip liner - Natural
This was a new one for me when it can to this lip liner, instead of the usual australis lip liners this one is a twist top and I actually find this quite handy. After one use I knew I loved the product, the way it applied so easily and the way it wore on my lips and at an absolute bargain of $1!!

Rimmel Wake Me Up Instant Radiance Shimmer Touch
I picked up one of these whilst shopping and tried it out on my hand, after a while of walking around the shops and looking down and seeing the shimmer affect on my hand I knew I had to go back and get more. So I picked up these two, both are in peach glow, however I thought that I had two different shades as I did have another shade in  my hand but put it back as it was already opened and accidentally bought two of the same shades whoops! However I am not complaining as I love this shade and the way it highlights my face, giving a nice warm glow which will look great especially in the upcoming colder months!

Busy Week/ Busy Schedule | elliewoods

It is currently 10:39pm on Sunday as I write this, I am writing this so late because as I have stated before I have made a promise to blog every week. However it would seem that this week has been quite a busy one.

First off I am now in my 4th week of my second year at university, which means of course that all assignments are due at once (Oh how I love their perfect timing) So pretty much having 4 assignments due at one time can be quite stressful. On top of that having to travel a hour and a half there 3 times a week then a hour and a half back. With only having a one hour class on two of those days, can be quite annoying.

This week also I attended a World's Greatest Shave event where I got to witness a few people that I know, raise money for the leukaemia foundation, which was truly wonderful. Where they were able to raise over $2000 I believe. I think that that is just such a great cause. However I will just make do with donating my fair share of money as I am no where near brave enough to do the shave.

Lastly this week I have been organising and planning future videos and blog posts. I have kind of/ not officially decided that I would like to start putting out two videos a week, perhaps a wednesday video and then the usual Sunday video. As of yet I am still undecided, but a few may appear every now and then when it tickles my fancy. I have made myself a pretty hefty list and pride myself on it. So those will be going up sometime in the future, which I am pretty excited about.

Also I hope you have all had a lovely week and I promise that from now on I will try and get these blog posts out on wednesdays/thursdays.

Harry Potter Series/2014 resolutions | elliewoods

Phaaaaaaaaaahhhh! I have just this minute finished reading the whole 7 books of the Harry Potter series and I have no idea on how to feel! why can't poor Harry catch a break and why must Fred Weasley, Tonks and Lupin die! I know, this comes as a shock to many people, but when I was younger my parents did try to read it to me but gave up on the first book after my brothers and I continued to interrupt them every few sentences asking a degree of various question about the book and what certain words or spells went. So that is why we never got through less than 5 chapters of the first book.

However if you have been actively reading my little blog here, you will know that at the start of the year I gave myself 15 things to do this year and which I hope to complete all of them. So I added Harry Potter to the list as I thought since it is a worldwide know series I best get in with the lingo and finally be in the ‘in crowd’ and know what all those Harry Potter fans are talking about (instead of merely just standing there and nodding)
Now that I have read the books, which I thoroughly enjoyed I cannot wait to finish watching all of the movies (I have been watching them after I have finished each book)

So I know that this was a bit different from what I would usually blog about but I thought I would just share with you some of my progress towards finishing my 15 things that I want to have done this year.

So below is currently how my list is going

-       Have Starbucks
-       Watch the Notebook
-       Read the entire Harry Potter series
-       Watch the entire Harry Potter series
-       Go back to my childhood farm (Rain, Hayne & Shine)
-       Go to a Comedy Festival
-       Go to the Drive In
-       Go overseas
-       Go somewhere on holiday in Australia
-       Get my License
-       Go to a show
-       Read/Watch Perks Of Being A Wallflower
-       Go Camping
-       Blog every week
-       Actually do everything on this list.

I think/ well I hope that I am well on track to hopefully (praying) be able to finish if not all then the majority of this list before the end of the year J

I hope you enjoyed this little update on my resolutions and I shall be back with another blog post soon!
