Top Five Drugstore Foundations

Recently I have done a little research on foundations and have run around to try and find for you all the top 5 Drugstore foundations that I have found. As when I was younger and just getting into makeup I found it hard to find out which foundations were worth buying and ending up buying, every once in a while, a foundation that was absolutely horrible for my skin or just didn't last. So here are my top 5 Foundation choices for you all!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation -

Without a doubt this has got to be one of my favourite drugstore foundations, I have only been using this product for 3 weeks now but I absolutely love it. It has medium to light coverage and can be easily applied with a foundation brush (I use a BYS Foundation Brush) The finish of this foundation is gorgeous which leaves with a nice natural dewy sheen. I especially love that this foundation comes with a pump making it easy to apply the right amount to your brush/hand.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation -
This foundation has also been a real winner when it comes to drugstore foundations. It literally does wake you up and give your skin a nice finish, it has little speckles of shimmer in the foundation, however they are not at all noticeable, so it does not leave a matte finish. I find that it is very light on the skin and blends easily (meaning you can either use a brush or your hands and get the same effect). I love how this foundation comes with a pump making it easy to dispense and apply the right amount, meaning little is wasted.

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse -
During my high school years this was a very popular product amongst those who wore makeup, particularly in those the early stages of just beginning to wear foundation. This was actually the first foundation that I ever bought and used religiously. I actually continued to use this product for around two years, then I began to branch out to other brands and liquid foundations. It does have a very nice matte finish, but it does tend to wear after a few hours, yet is a very good product for those with oily skin.

Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation -
There is a lot of debate about this makeup on whether or not it is a good foundation. However when blended correctly it does have a nice long lasting finish and for my skin it was great. I wore this to my year 11 Debutante Ball and it lasted brilliantly throughout the whole night. It is great for dry or oily skin, giving your skin a nice and healthy look.

Revlon Photo-ready Airbrush Mousse -
I have purchased this foundation twice and have only just recently ran out and will definitely be repurchasing again when I get the chance. This foundation is easy to apply and blends well, it can even be applied with hands instead of a brush. The only downside to this is once spraying some out onto the hand it must be applied quickly as the mousse quickly will turn into liquid. The foundation has a long lasting finish and just like its name you are "Photo-ready" at any party with skin turning up beautifully in pictures.

Whilst trying out the many different drugstore foundations, I did stumble across some bad foundations, so I thought that I would also make a blog post on my 5 worst drugstore foundations, which will be up next week. Just so you can know what may not be the best foundation to buy.

BYEEEEEE!!! xxx

Now the reviews on these foundations are purely of my own observations when using the products myself and my skin type, so you may have a different result to what I did.
